Abstract

The objective is to address the historical evolution of the control of constitutionality in Chile, especially since the creation of the Constitutional Court. In this sense, the Powers and effects of the sentences are analyzed in light of constitutional principles.

It is in this new scenario where constitutional justice is emerging as that intended to give effectiveness to the principle of constitutional supremacy and the flexible separation of legal functions and to achieve effective compliance with its precepts, providing greater security and harmony to the legal system, which is allowing progress in the protection of constitutional principles with an integrative and systematic sense.
